Far out, where the wind blows in from the Atlantic and the light is constantly changing, lies the island of Lewis and Harris. Here, between moors, rocks and sea, Harris Tweed® is still woven by hand – thread by thread, on looms in small houses. No fabric in the world carries the landscape like this one. And now it is wrapped around a footmuff. On the outside, the robust tweed weave that has withstood wind and weather for generations. Inside: soft virgin sheep’s wool fleece, quilted to keep you warm without weighing you down. The wooden toggle buttons form a hood when needed, the zipper separates when air and movement are required. A place of security in winter, a touch of balance in summer, because wool breathes and moves with the temperature. Perhaps this footmuff is less an accessory than a story to wrap a child in – woven from island wind, wool thread and the idea that warmth doesn’t have to be loud to stay.

The winter footmuff from the Harris Tweed special collection for the fall, winter and summer seasons combines genuine Harris Tweed® on the outside with soft virgin sheep’s wool fleece and quilting on the inside. The wooden toggle buttons turn the head section into a hood and extend the turn-up if required. The footmuff can be opened completely so that the top and bottom can also be used as a cozy cover in the carrycot. It provides cozy warmth in winter and has a temperature-regulating effect on warm days thanks to the wool fibres. The opening and cover can be individually adjusted using the separable two-way zipper. The back is quilted with black cotton canvas for a secure fit. Compared to a lambskin footmuff, the approx. 100 cm long winter footmuff with wool fleece is not limited to the size of a sheep’s back (approx. 85 cm) and can therefore be used for longer.
